17th annual FRA-United Way Fashion Show

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) – Cowboys, fashionistas and royalty strutted across the stage at the 17th annual FRA-United Way Fashion Show on Thursday.

Community members supported by the Fairbanks Resource Agency programs, along with staff and volunteers, got the chance to shine as models. They met in the Centennial Center Theater at Pioneer Park to show off glamorous outfits assembled from local thrift stores. ‘The Value Village Collection’ featured everything from elegant dresses and shawls to rodeo-ready vests and hats.

This year’s theme focused on ‘Friends and Family,’ to celebrate all the people in the models’ lives who provide friendship and support. The event kicked off the 2023 United Way Workplace Campaign.

The annual fashion show is a collaborative fundraiser by the Fairbanks Resource Agency and the United Way of the Tanana Valley, which raises and allocates funds to local health and human service agencies and community programs.
