Steelers show off style, swag at annual ‘Rock Steelers Style’

HAPPENED THERE, MIKE. YEAH, CHRIS AND MIKE, GOOD EVENING. STEELERS REALLY OWNING THAT CATWALK. THEY WERE FEELING THEMSELVES TONIGHT. A FUN WAY TO LET LOOSE. LESS THAN 48 HOURS AGAINST THE BIG TEST AGAINST THE RAVENS. WELCOME TO RAVEN WEEK. I MEAN, THE STEELER FASHION SHOW TONIGHT. HEAD COACH MIKE TOMLIN’S NEXT MAN UP WAS THE NEXT MAN ENTERING STAGE RIGHT? DOZENS OF STEELERS REPPING THEIR BLACK AND GOLD TOSSING TEAM SWAG INTO A LIVELY CROWD. I STARTED OUT AT THE HILTON. JUST VERY BASIC. AND NOW LOOK WHERE IT IS. WE’VE GOT OVER 600 PEOPLE AND IT’S IT’S 2023, THIS FASHION SHOW IS NOW THE STEELERS LARGEST ANNUAL PHILANTHROPIC EVENT WITH THE MONEY GOING TO THREE DIFFERENT ENTITIES, INCLUDING THE UPMC SPORTS MEDICINE CONCUSSION PROGRAM. AND THAT RESEARCH ENDS UP HELPING SO MANY KIDS AND HELPING SO MANY SO MANY ADVANCES IN TERMS OF TREATING CONCUSSION AND GETTING ATHLETES BACK TO THE SPORTS THEY LOVE. DOCTOR MICKEY COLLINS SAYS THIS EVENT HAS BEEN PIVOTAL IN FUNDING UPMC’S MISSION TO LEARN MORE ABOUT CONCUSSIONS AND HOW TO TREAT THEM. WE’VE NOW IDENTIFIED THAT THERE’S DIFFERENT TYPES OF CONCUSSIONS, SIX DIFFERENT TYPES, AND IF YOU MATCH THE RIGHT TREATMENT TO THE RIGHT PROBLEM, WE CAN HAVE VERY GOOD OUTCOMES AND REALLY THERE’S VERY FEW KIDS THAT WE SEE THAT WE CAN’T GET BETTER FROM THIS INJURY. DOCTOR COLLINS TALKED TO US FROM THE GREEN CARPET WHERE GUESTS SHOWED OFF THEIR STYLE. BUT THE REAL SHOW WAS ON THE STAGE. BUT IT’S BRINGING OUR PLAYERS OUT OF THEIR ELEMENT ON THE FIELD, BRINGING THEM IN THEIR SUITS WITH THEIR FAMILY AND SHOWING THEIR STYLE. AND THAT’S WHY WE CALL IT ROCK STELER STYLE. GRETNA ROONEY THERE ON THE EVENT THAT IS NOW OVER TONIGHT. BUT THE ROCK STEELER STYLE AUCTION IS LIVE ONLINE RIGHT NOW THROUGH NEXT FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13TH.
