Waterfront House of Framing and Fashion celebrates the one-year anniversary of their move to State Street with a special fashion event titled, ‘Make Life Your Runway’. The event on Sunday afternoon, October 29th will showcase the power of fashion in building a vibrant community. It will play out under the spotlights of a breathtaking 70-foot catwalk. Fashion will be presented in three themes, ‘Elevate,’ ‘’Motivate,’ and ‘Celebrate’.
In September of 2022, mother-daughter duo Valerie and Emily Byrnes, merged their two ventures, Waterfront Framing and Design and b. grace boutique. Formerly located at 606 Ship Street, they transformed the former Sherwin Williams building in downtown St. Joe into a one-stop destination for design, elegance, high-end fashion, eclectic artistic choices, and top-of-the-line framing options.
“This fashion show embraces our diverse community, celebrating women of all ages, sizes, and nationalities. Our models will be living works of art showcasing the latest winter fashion,” says co-owner Valerie Byrnes. “However, this event is not just about fashion; it’s about celebrating our fantastic first year in this new location and the positivity and light we’ve shared with our patrons.”
At the show, organizers say fashion and art will merge as renowned artist Rosemary Fanti makes an exclusive SW Michigan appearance to capture the runway event in motion with illustrations that are as vivid and alive as the people she sketches. Ms. Fanti’s original event sketch is showcased on the event’s promotional graphics.
‘Make Life Your Runway’, begins at 3pm, Sunday, October 29. Doors open at 2:30pm with the last seating at 2:50pm. Tickets for the event are $50 per person and includes the fashion show, small bites, mocktails, custom cookies by Bit of Swiss and entry into a drawing for artwork, framing and fashion.
VIP tickets are $100. Guests who purchase a limited quantity VIP ticket will receive their personal illustration, drawn on-site by Ms. Fanti during the post-show reception. Her work can be viewed at https://www.rosemaryfanti.com/
