As the sun dips below the horizon, Bloom West’s First Annual Fashion Show Gala takes center stage on Belanger Street. The event promises a night of elegance, fashion, and a strong message of inclusivity.

This year, the gala proudly supports the Upside Downs organization. Ella Moreaux, one of the talented models with Down Syndrome, will grace the runway, showcasing the boutique’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

A Heartfelt Message from Leslie Terrebonne

Leslie Terrebonne, the passionate owner and stylist of Bloom West Boutique, has always had a special place in her heart for her community. She shared a touching story with us, illustrating her boutique’s deep connection with the people of Houma.

“When I first opened up my boutique,” Leslie begins, “a 15-year-old resident in our community expressed a keen interest in fashion and a desire to work in the fashion industry, and her mother asked on Facebook if any local boutiques were hiring. Without any hesitation, I enthusiastically agreed.” Leslie’s sincerity in fostering local talent is evident in her actions.

Ella, the young girl with dreams of a fashion career, and her mother visited Bloom West Boutique for an interview. From the moment they walked in, Leslie was captivated. She saw in Ella not just a young aspiring fashionista but a spirited, vibrant soul overflowing with a passion for fashion.

However, Ella brought much more to the table. Her presence brought joy and forged a meaningful connection between the boutique and the Upside Down community. Leslie Terrebonne’s warm embrace of individuals like Ella is a testament to the inclusive spirit of Bloom West Boutique.

Leslie notes, “Embracing individuals like Ella and receiving heartfelt support from our valued customers is what fuels my heart and my business.” Her commitment to making her boutique a place that celebrates diversity and supports local talent is a remarkable testament to the power of community and fashion coming together.

Leslie’s heartwarming story truly reflects the love and inclusivity that defines Bloom West Boutique. It’s not just a store; it’s a place where dreams come true, and the community is at the heart of everything they do.
