TULSA, Okla. – Indigenous designers highlighted Native American culture through fashion on Saturday.

The Empowered Indigenous Fashion Show was held at the Osage Casino Hotel in Tulsa.

Artists from five tribal nations showed off their clothing designs to express creativity and cultural heritage.

“We have like 65 models that are going to be here tonight to showcase all of these beautiful designs and there are five designers total,” said model Erica “Pretty Eagle” Cozad. “So there is like an unlimited amount of representation here and it’s beautiful to see everyone come together for this.”

The designers featured included: Weomepe Designs, Native Springflower Creations, L.A. Apparel, Burning Wagon Designs and Wanoshi.
